Voluntary Donations

All donations made to Songjog Connecting People Foundation are voluntary contributions intended to support charitable and nonprofit activities. Donations do not create:

  • Ownership rights;
  • Membership rights;
  • Governance authority;
  • Financial returns;
  • Priority access to services;
  • Employment opportunities.

Use of Donations

Donations may be used to support:

  • Education and Digital Learning
  • Skill Development & Employment
  • Healthcare
  • Climate and Disaster Response
  • Youth and Women Empowerment
  • Human Rights and Advocacy
  • Organizational administration
  • Monitoring and evaluation
  • Safeguarding initiatives
  • Technology and communication systems
  • Financial compliance and governance activities

Donations designated for specific projects will be used in accordance with donor intent whenever reasonably feasible. If a project becomes fully funded, completed, delayed, impractical, unsafe, or impossible to implement, donations may be redirected to similar charitable purposes aligned with the Foundation's mission.

Authorized Donation Channels

Donors should contribute only through officially authorized channels published by Songjog Connecting People Foundation. The Foundation is not responsible for losses arising from:

  • Payments made to unauthorized accounts;
  • Fraudulent fundraising campaigns;
  • Impersonation schemes;
  • Incorrect payment details entered by donors.

Right to Refuse Donations

Songjog Connecting People Foundation reserves the right to refuse, suspend, investigate, or return any donation where reasonably necessary to protect legal, regulatory, ethical, financial, safeguarding, or operational interests.

Refund Eligibility

Donations are generally considered final and non-refundable once successfully processed. However, refund requests may be considered under the following circumstances:

  • Duplicate transactions;
  • Incorrect donation amounts entered by mistake;
  • Unauthorized transactions;
  • Technical payment processing errors;
  • Donations that cannot legally be accepted;
  • Exceptional circumstances approved by the Foundation.

Refund Request Period

Refund requests should be submitted within 30 calendar days of the donation date. Late requests may be reviewed at the Foundation's discretion based on available evidence and circumstances.

How to Request a Refund

Please submit a request including:

  • Donation amount;
  • Transaction reference;
  • Date of donation;
  • Payment method;
  • Reason for the request.

Verification Process

The Foundation may request supporting documentation necessary to:

Providing incomplete or inaccurate information may delay processing.

Refund Method

Approved refunds will generally be issued using the original payment method used for the donation. Refunds cannot normally be redirected to unrelated payment methods or third parties.

Fees and Currency Differences

Refund values may be impacted by:

  • Payment gateway charges;
  • Banking fees;
  • Transaction costs;
  • Currency conversion rates.

Such deductions may be beyond the Foundation's control.

Unauthorized Transactions

Individuals who believe a transaction was unauthorized should immediately:

  1. Contact their payment provider;
  2. Secure their financial accounts;
  3. Notify Songjog Connecting People Foundation;
  4. Provide relevant transaction details.

The Foundation may cooperate with financial institutions and lawful investigations where appropriate.

Anti-Money Laundering and Compliance

Songjog Connecting People Foundation reserves the right to conduct reasonable donor due diligence and compliance reviews. The Foundation may reject, return, suspend, investigate, or report transactions where concerns arise regarding:

  • Fraud;
  • Money laundering;
  • Terrorism financing;
  • International sanctions violations;
  • Criminal activity;
  • Regulatory non-compliance.

No Guarantee of Specific Outcomes

Donations support the overall charitable objectives and activities of the Foundation. A donation does not guarantee:

  • Specific project outcomes;
  • Specific beneficiaries;
  • Direct participation in activities;
  • Recognition or public acknowledgment;
  • Completion of activities within a fixed timeframe.

Policy Changes

This Policy may be updated periodically to reflect legal, operational, financial, or governance changes. The latest version published on the website shall apply unless otherwise required by law.
