The 'Light of Hope with Interactive Center Powered by Internet' is a flagship initiative of Songjog Foundation, developed in collaboration with the Internet Society Foundation. This project is dedicated to bridging the digital divide by establishing robust, community-focused Digital Interactive Centers in the most geographically challenged and underserved communities of Bangladesh.
Our primary focus is on remote and isolated regions, such as char (riverine land), hill-tract, and island areas, where access to basic ICT infrastructure and the internet is virtually non-existent. These centers are designed to be dynamic hubs for digital literacy, skill development, and socio-economic empowerment.
Our Mission: Illuminating Remote Communities
The core mission of the 'Light of Hope' project is to ensure that geography is not a barrier to opportunity. By providing first-ever internet access and digital resources to residents of remote areas, we aim to:
Foster Digital Inclusion
Provide equitable access to technology and information for marginalized populations.
Enhance Education
Offer digital learning resources to community-based schools and students.
Empower Youth
Equip students and young adults with essential digital, employability, and leadership skills.
Promote Social Development
Facilitate community-wide awareness sessions and workshops on vital topics like health, rights, and climate change adaptation.
