Established for Impact
Songjog Foundation was established in 2020, born from the critical need that arose during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our mission began with a clear vision to bridge the gap between opportunity and access in Bangladesh's underserved communities.
Official Inception
Songjog Foundation (Reg. No. S-13763/2021) gained legal recognition by registering with the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSC) under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. This established our foundation as a legal entity and protected our mission and objectives.
Dignified Livelihoods
Establishment of the Songjog Caregiver Center to begin structured vocational training programs. This was the first operational center dedicated to upskilling marginalized individuals for professional, dignified employment in the care sector.
Setting the National Standard
Partnered with the National Skills Development Authority (NSDA) to design the first standardized national caregiver curriculum. This collaboration elevated caregiving into a professional, certified employment sector, creating pathways to economic sovereignty.
National Credibility
Officially registered and recognized by the NGO Affairs Bureau (NGOAB) under the Prime Minister's Office. This achievement grants the mandate to receive and utilize foreign assistance, ensuring transparency and national-level coordination.
A Home for Humanity
Launched Songjog Carehome, a permanent facility to provide shelter, food, and essential care for underprivileged and vulnerable individuals. This long-term rehabilitation center embodies our commitment to addressing fundamental human needs.
