Life-Saving Medical Aid and Community Healthcare
Medihelp is a critical, life-saving initiative by the Songjog Foundation dedicated to ensuring that quality medical support and treatment are accessible to the most vulnerable and underserved populations in Bangladesh. The project is focused on bridging the acute healthcare gap through two primary channels: direct aid for critical medical support and the delivery of essential primary care via medical camps in remote and geographically isolated communities. Medihelp embodies the Foundation's commitment to eliminating financial and geographical barriers to healthcare, recognizing it as a fundamental human right.
Eliminating Barriers to Healthcare
The core mission of the Medihelp project is to provide a comprehensive healthcare safety net for the marginalized, focusing on intervention and prevention. We aim to:
Provide Critical Aid
Offer direct financial or logistical support for life-saving treatments, surgeries, and ongoing care that underserved individuals cannot afford.
Reach Remote Communities
Deliver essential primary medical care, check-ups, and medicines directly to individuals in remote villages, riverine lands (char), and islands through mobile medical camps.
Promote Preventive Health
Conduct awareness sessions and screenings to educate communities on hygiene, nutrition, and early detection of common diseases.
Support Rehabilitation
Work towards ensuring beneficiaries who receive critical aid have access to follow-up treatment and necessary rehabilitation resources.
